The Bonfires mod 1.20.1/1.12.2 will add to Minecraft checkpoints in the form of bonfires to the game, similar to the popular Dark Souls game series. Campfires with a sword will regenerate health and you can teleport between them (teleport system). For example, one fire can be set near the house, and the second near the fortress, you can quickly move between these points.
Creating such a fire will be quite expensive, see crafting recipes.
