Uppers mod adds to Minecraft 1.18.1/1.12.2 a new type of Hoppers – reverse, which take items from below and transfer them up. Inverted Hoppers can be controlled with a redstone like ordinary ones, but alas, you cannot craft a minecar with a lifting hopper.
