Passthrough Signs is a simple mod for Minecraft 1.16.5/1.15.2/1.14.4 that will allow you to interact with the block on which the sign hangs by clicking not on the block, but on the sign. It is very simple, but adds convenience when creating, for example, storage.
If you hang a sign on the chest, then you can open the chest only if you click on the pieces of the chest, and with the mod you can right-click on the sign itself and the chest will open.

- Without unpacking copy to .minecraft\mods
