Now with Notchify mod for Minecraft 1.16.5/1.15.2, you can get the enchanted golden apple using the enchantment table or anvil. However, the new way is not as simple as it seems – when using an anvil, you need 39 experience points, and enchanting using an enchanting table will not always work.
