Illuminations mod will add Fireflies to Minecraft 1.19.2/1.12.2 Java Edition. They will circle and shine beautifully in damp and wooded biomes (most of them will be in the swamps). There are also Psi Fireflies, they can be found in the End world.
When there are a lot of them, it turns out a small beautiful light show, it is very comfortable to live next to them, the situation is very beautiful. You can’t catch them, you can’t spawn them either, you can only find them at night.
