Better Than Mending mod adds to Minecraft 1.17.1/1.16.5/1.15.2 the ability to repair armor/weapons/tools for experience (EXP), without anvil and waste of resources. The mod is suitable for survival packs with minimal resources.
To fix an item, you need a broken item and some experience (EXP). We take the item that needs to be repaired in our hand, sit down using the Shift key and press the right mouse button. Voila! EXP is removed, and in return, the item’s durability is restored. This process is shown below.
