Player API is required for other Minecraft mods to work properly. It makes no sense to list the list of mods that require this core, there are a lot of them. By itself, the mod does not add anything, therefore it makes no sense to install it just like that, only if some kind of mod requires it.
How to install Player API:
- Download and install Minecraft Forge
- Download the mod
- Without unpacking copy to .minecraft\mods
- Done!
